my window view

With a round trip total of 1,096 miles and plenty of places just 30 miles away from our condo, we logged in some driving time! Here are some of the sights looking out my window...

Gardner's Village

There are treasure spots tucked all over the grand city of Utah and Court found this little mine shaft house right by our condo in Park City! We couldn't pass up the photo opt!

Six smiling faces is no easy feat...

...Not that three was a whole lot easier!

Hartley does not have a whole lot of love for a group photo...and eventhough Elle is smiling, her lips are whited out by a large amount of pink frosted gloss!

Well, those are my girls, and I love them!

As previously stated, Hartley does not enjoy a group photo, and since I have no Photoshop skills, Maugs is one sweet baby short! She's still got quite a special crew! After we snapped these shots we headed out for a super special Utah treasure trove...Gardner's Village!

Touches of red, white, and blue love were around every corner! The Americana decor were treats in and of themselves and the shopping was a bonus!

Have you ever seen a cuter buggy line-up of shoppers?

Maugee treated us all to a touch of shopping money and Harts used hers for a pack of cowboys and indians which brought pure joy to her heart!

Park City

We spent the first day in Utah with the whole gang at the Park City Resort for some fun on the Alpine Slide and Coaster, and it was just that--a day of FUN!

You hop on the tram and take a little ride up the mountain covered with beautiful green foliage and then get to zoom down the slide on a sled like contraption...it's joyful!

Being with a whole crew of Fegrusons and Guillens we quickly turned it into a competition and raced to the bottom!

I'm pretty sure me and my slide buddy won!

After we warmed up with the Alpine Slide we headed over to the Alpine Coaster, and it is something special! You get going pretty darn fast and whip around a few quick turns!

Not only is the Coaster a speedy little guy, but it's tucked in a gorgeous backdrop of green!

Every time we stood in line we would match up riding partners so there was an ever changing switching of dynamic duos!

Maugee & Poppa were kind enough to entertain the little folks who weren't quite tall enough for the slides and coaster. Maugee found them a plane just their size! Up! Up! & Away! Thanks Maugs!

We ended our first day in Park city with a trip to the ice cream shop for a scoop of yumminess! They had a heavy cow theme going on and the life sized cow was an instant hit! Mooooo!

All packed up...

...in true Fourth of July style!

If it wasn't red, white, or blue, it didn't make it in the suitcase for our Utah Stadium of Fire trip! Not only did this fabulous color palate make for a very festive holiday, but it was also a much more efficiant way to pack! I will be color coding our vacations from here on out!

Kyle and Trin found us an awesome condo in Park City, and these crazy girls had a blast running from floor to floor to explore our new home for the week! Among the favorite finds were a coffee table made out of a giant drum, lockers by the door, and a double set of bunk beds on the fifth floor! What more could a group of giggly girls dream of? Cinco and Harts also enjoyed the endless climb of stairs and took a liking to the balcony...it was as close to Home Sweet Home as any vacation home could be! Way to go boys!

Thanksgiving in June!

Not that my blog needed any more timeline issues, but it's true we really did have a little taste of Thanksgiving in June! My man turned the big 3-0 this year and we celebrated it in true Kyle style!

Every November after we have all feasted on a delicious bird and all our favorite fall side dishes, Kyle asks why we only have this fabulous meal once a year and insist that he is going to request it for his "birthday dinner" that Deed delivers for each birthday recipient.

But, once June rolls around and the crisp fall air is long gone, so to is the turkey wish...but not this year! We were determined to pull a fast one on the birthday boy! We sent him off to golf with the boys thinking he was coming home to a pulled pork birthday salad, but instead he walked right into a full on Thanksgiving Feast! It was priceless! And of course, I don't have a single picture of the glorious event! (what wrong with me!)

Well, the story was worth telling and Kyle is definintly a grand guy worth celebrating!

Happy Birthday Babe! Love you!

(On a side note, we figured out why we do only have this extra yummy meal once a year...it makes a really big mess that takes a long time to clean up! Thanks girls for toughing it out with me!)

The BIG recital!

Ellery-Joy has attended a few of her cousins recitals and they have left her awestruck and longing for a recital day of her own! We've heard all about her deep wishes for a recital day complete with the stage, bright lights, claps and cheers, and of course bouquets of flowers! Well, baby girl, today was your day!

The "Hot! Hot! Hot!" gang gave it their all durning the morning rehearsal and then returned in full makeup for the real deal!

Tilley-Claire and her buddy Sophie had a big recital day of their own!

The mascara and red lipstick truly sealed the deal for this girl!

She was beaming before she ever stepped on stage!

Lily and Elle were happy to show off their sassy stage presence as we waited for their curtain call! Nothing shines brighter than a happy heart!

I'm so proud of you baby girl!

As previously mentioned the bouquets of flowers were a somewhat vocalized part of Elle's recital wish, so I wanted to make sure we captured a few photos of the flora her family showered her with, but she was far too wilted for a smile...
