Happy Hollow

My friend Stacy introduced us to this treasure trove created with little friends in mind, so when we headed down to Carmel we just had to stop!
You know anywhere with a giant carousel just beyond the front gate is going to be hit...

The major bonus of this place is even a one year old can ride the rides! Harts gladly followed her big sister from ride to ride taking in all in. I loved watching Elle get out her super cheesy "Big Sissy Will Help You" voice and direct Harts around...the sister bond is something special!

And, as if the rides weren't enough, there's a Happy Hollow Zoo with plenty of critters to feed. Ellery-Joy took a liking to a pregnant goat and snuggled up beside her for quite some time!
Hartley-Love preferred the view from the other side of the fence!
The GIANT play structure in the middle of the park was a hot spot for both girls! They had a hay day yelling to each other through the giant megaphones and could have stayed there all day!

Now I know this is super dorky and a touch deep for a day at Happy Hollow, but I loved watching the girls determination to cross the "river" on the rocks and seeing their Dad standing there in the wings ready to catch them if they started to fall...
Sweet Success! By the look on her face, you'd think she just crossed the Amazon!
Ellery-Joy ended her day with a double dose of adrenaline and some pretty big smiles complements of Dad!

Who would have guessed the girl who's afraid of Swiper the Fox on Dora would be
thrill-seeking junkie!?
We all left Happy Hollow with Happy Hearts!
